The War Machines
The Victorian age, fuelled with Infernium, with the shadows from nightmares creeping around the borders of man’s domain is a time fraught with dangers – not merely within the confines of this green and pleasant land, but in all the places that the Great Empire has dared to stretch its reach. With the Empire’s reliance on the colonies, the need for imported resources, and the great Middle Classes desire for trinkets, novelties and objects d’art, more and more enterprising young adventurers have left the relative safety of Britain’s shores to find their fortune in foreign climes. To that end, to keep her subjects safe, the Empress has seen fit to seek the means to arm her military accordingly... with armour, and cannon and tracks...
Can your faction make their fortunes out and away from the ‘Old Boys Networks’ of landed gentry and established families that hold a tight grip on the balance of power away from the safety of British soil, and out in the colonies? Playing far from the safety of home is very risky for the prospective President or Faction Leader, but the rewards can be immeasurable!
The Campaign rules in the Core Empire of the Dead rule book were written with Britain and (to a smaller extent) the Europe of the ‘Old World’ in mind as its backdrop… but as many young Victorian Gentlemen became keenly aware as they set out to make their fortunes, the ‘Old Boys Networks’ of landed gentry and established families holds a tight grip on the balance of power… but out in the colonies, a brave individual might find the opportunity to carve themselves out the beginnings of a small fortune. Playing far from the safety of home is very risky for the prospective President or Faction Leader, but the rewards can be immeasurable!
